Open your account

Two minutes, and the 18+ check runs on the server rather than on trust.

Create your FairPlay ID

Takes about two minutes. You must be 18 or over to open an account.

Accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. This is checked on the server, not just here.
Nine characters or more. Longer beats complicated — a short phrase you will remember is stronger than a mangled word.

Already have an account? Sign in

Step by Step

Four steps, about two minutes

Nothing here needs a document, a bank account or a card. Just a phone that can receive an SMS.

  1. Enter your mobile numberUse the number you actually keep — every password reset and security check runs through it later. One account per number.
  2. Verify the OTPA six-digit code arrives by SMS in a few seconds. If it does not, wait a full minute before requesting another; two codes in flight cancel each other out.
  3. Set a passwordSomething you use nowhere else. Reusing a password from another site means a breach anywhere becomes a breach here.
  4. Check your name, then depositBefore adding money, make sure the name on your account matches your bank exactly. Fixing it now takes a second; fixing it later delays a withdrawal.

The name problem that delays most first withdrawals

Your FairPlay name must match your bank account name exactly. Indian naming conventions make that harder than it sounds — and every version of this is fixable in ten seconds at sign-up.

Common name mismatches between Indian bank records and account sign-ups
The situationWhy it happensWhat to do
Bank has “Suresh Kumar”, you registered “S. Kumar”Initials on one record, expanded name on the otherRegister with the full expanded name exactly as the bank prints it
Bank lists surname first, your account has it lastCommon in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra recordsMatch the bank's word order, not the order you normally write
PAN shows a middle name your bank account does notFather's name used as a middle name in Maharashtra and GujaratUse the version your bank holds — that is where the money lands
Married name at the bank, maiden name on your IDOne record updated after marriage, the other notUpdate whichever is out of date, or send support the linking document
Spelling differs by one letter across documentsTransliteration from a regional script varies between officesPick the bank's spelling and register with that one

One rule covers all of it. Open your bank app, look at exactly how your name is printed there, and register with that. Not the version on your PAN, not the version you sign, not the short form everyone calls you. The bank's version, letter for letter.

Verification

Which documents work, and when you need them

Not required to open an account or to deposit. Required once, before your first withdrawal.

Documents accepted for FairPlay account verification
DocumentWhat it provesWorth knowing
Aadhaar cardIdentity and addressUpload the masked version from the UIDAI site — it hides the first eight digits and is accepted
PAN cardIdentity and tax recordWorth adding, because tax deduction on winnings is reported against your PAN
Voter IDIdentity and addressAccepted on its own for identity verification
PassportIdentity and addressThe photo page and the address page are both needed
Driving licenceIdentity and addressMust still be valid — expired licences are rejected
Bank passbook, cancelled cheque or statementThat the account is yoursThe name printed here is the one your FairPlay account must match

Use masked Aadhaar. UIDAI publishes a masked version that hides the first eight digits while remaining valid for verification. It is accepted here, and sharing the full number with anyone — including a betting site — is not something you should do when a masked version does the job.

Troubleshooting

When sign-up does not go smoothly

Six things that actually go wrong, and what fixes each one.

Never share an OTP with anyone. Not with someone offering to set up your account, not with a caller claiming to be support, not with a friend who says they will handle it. An OTP is a one-time key to your account and your money, and no legitimate member of staff will ever ask for one.

Getting set up properly the first time

Sign-up is deliberately quick, which means the decisions that actually matter happen either side of it. Two minutes of care at registration removes almost every account problem people run into weeks later, and nearly all of them come down to the same thing: details that do not match.

Why the name check exists at all

It would be easier if you could withdraw to any account. The reason you cannot is that the name check is the thing standing between your balance and somebody who gets hold of your password. If payouts went wherever the logged-in user asked, a stolen login would be a stolen balance.

So the rule is not bureaucracy — it is the security model. And because it only ever gets tested at the moment you want your money, a mismatch always surfaces at the worst possible time. Sorting it out on day one costs nothing.

Do the verification early

KYC is required before your first withdrawal, not before your first deposit. The predictable result is that most people start it at the exact moment they have winnings waiting, and then experience a normal verification queue as a payout delay.

Upload a clear photo ID and a bank passbook page in your first week, while nothing is pending. Your first withdrawal then behaves the way every later one will — a few minutes rather than a day or two.

One number, kept active

Every recovery route runs through your registered mobile number: password resets, new-device checks, support verification. If you change numbers, update it in your account while you still have access to both. Recovering an account whose registered number no longer works is slow and occasionally not possible at all.

It is also worth using the number linked to your UPI and bank, since it keeps everything on one identity and makes support queries about payments considerably faster to resolve.

Decide about the bonus before you deposit

The welcome offer attaches to your first deposit and generally cannot be added afterwards, which makes it a pre-deposit decision rather than something to sort out later. A bonus is genuinely worth taking if you were going to play that volume anyway.

If you plan to deposit, place a couple of bets on the cricket and withdraw, the wagering requirement will simply restrict your balance for no benefit. Declining is a perfectly sensible choice and keeps your money unrestricted. The bonuses page publishes the requirement on each offer.

Before you start, not after

Deposit and loss limits can be set from the moment your account exists, and they apply immediately while raising one takes a cooling-off period. Setting a figure now, when nothing is at stake, is a completely different decision from setting one during a bad evening.

Responsible gaming covers the full set of tools, and support will apply any of them on request, 24x7. You must be 18 or over to hold an account, and rules on online gaming differ between Indian states — check what applies where you live before you register.

Read all FAQs
How do I register on FairPlay?

Open the registration page, enter your mobile number, and verify the six-digit code that arrives by SMS. Set a password and the account is live. It takes about two minutes and needs no documents at that stage — you can add money through UPI and start betting immediately. Verification documents are asked for later, before your first withdrawal.

Do I need documents to register?

Not to register or to deposit. You can open an account and fund it with just a verified mobile number. KYC is required before your first withdrawal, and it means a government photo ID plus proof that the bank account is yours. Doing it in your first week rather than at the moment you want to cash out is the single easiest thing you can do to avoid a delay later.

Which documents does FairPlay accept for KYC?

For identity: Aadhaar, PAN card, Voter ID, passport or a valid driving licence. For the bank account: a passbook page, a cancelled cheque or a recent statement showing your name and account number. If you are uploading Aadhaar, use the masked version from the UIDAI website — it hides the first eight digits and is accepted for verification.

Why does the name on my account have to match my bank exactly?

Because withdrawals are paid only to a bank account in the account holder's name, and that check is what stops someone who obtains your login from routing your balance to themselves. Indian naming makes this trip people up more than it should — initials versus expanded names, surname-first records in the south, a father's name used as a middle name. Register with the name exactly as your bank prints it and the problem never arises.

Who is eligible to open an account?

You must be at least 18 and located where online gaming is permitted. Rules are set state by state in India rather than nationally and they continue to change, so check the position where you live before registering. Each person may hold a single account, tied to a single mobile number.

Can I open a second account?

No. One account per person. Duplicates are closed when identified and any bonus claimed on them is forfeited. If you have lost access to an existing account, recover it through Forgot Password or contact support — opening a new one creates a problem rather than solving it.

Should I take the welcome bonus?

Only if you intend to play through it. A bonus carries a wagering requirement, which restricts part of your balance until a set turnover is met. If you plan to deposit, place a few bets and withdraw, that requirement will get in your way. Read the terms on the bonuses page before you deposit, because the offer attaches at deposit time and generally cannot be added afterwards.

Is my information safe?

Registration and login data move over an encrypted connection, and documents you upload are stored securely. FairPlay staff will never ask for your password or an OTP by phone, SMS or chat. Anyone making that request is trying to take over your account, whatever number they are calling from and whoever they claim to be.
