FairPlay Withdrawal — Getting Your Money Out

A verified account is normally paid in under ten minutes, any hour, any day. A platform is judged on this page rather than on its odds, so it sets out the process, the limits, and the six things that actually cause a payout to stall.

Step by Step

Do the first step early and the rest is trivial

Verification is a one-time job. Everything after it takes about thirty seconds.

  1. Finish verification firstOne government photo ID and proof the bank account is yours. Do this in a quiet week, not on the night you want your winnings.
  2. Open Withdraw and pick an amountMinimum ₹500. Your verified bank account is already the destination — there is nothing to type and nothing to get wrong.
  3. Check for bonus wageringIf an active bonus still has turnover outstanding, only your unrestricted balance can leave. Your account shows the remaining figure.
  4. Confirm and watch the statusRequests are processed around the clock. Your transaction history shows the state of it, so there is no need to ask support in the first ten minutes.

Payout Routes

How the money reaches you

UPI is fastest and works outside banking hours. The rest are alternatives rather than upgrades.

Full payment comparison
Withdrawal routes and typical processing times
RouteTypical timeWorth knowing
UPIUsually under 10 minutesFastest route out, and unaffected by bank working hours or holidays
IMPSUsually under 30 minutesRuns 24x7. A reliable fallback when a UPI handle is playing up
Net banking transferUp to an hourFine for larger amounts, and dependent on your bank being available
NEFTUp to 2 hours, banking hours onlySettles in batches. A request late at night waits for the next batch
RTGSUp to 2 hours, banking hours onlyFor very large single payouts. No advantage below that threshold

Why Payouts Stall

The six real causes, in the order they happen

No platform enjoys publishing this list. It is far more useful to you than another paragraph about how fast we are.

Withdrawal delays — cause, explanation and resolution
CauseWhat is happeningHow it gets resolved
Verification not finishedKYC is required before the first payout, and only the firstUpload a clear ID and bank proof. Usually cleared the same day
Name mismatchYour account name and bank name are not identicalThe commonest cause by far. Fix your registered details, not your bank
Bonus turnover outstandingBonus funds and winnings from them are locked until wagering is metCheck the remaining figure in your account; withdraw the unrestricted part
Bank details entered wronglyA wrong account number or IFSC sends the transfer nowhereFailed transfers return to your wallet in two to three working days
Bank downtimeYour bank's systems are unavailable or in a maintenance windowNothing to do but wait. UPI is generally less affected than NEFT
Above your daily capThe request exceeds the daily withdrawal limit on the accountSplit it across days, or ask support to review the limit

Two of these six are set at sign-up. Verification and name matching both trace back to how the account was opened, which means the most common payout problems are decided weeks before anybody tries to withdraw. Our registration page covers how Indian naming conventions cause the mismatch and how to avoid it.

The page that decides whether a site is any good

Anybody can take a deposit. What separates one betting platform from another is what happens when a player wants the money back, and how honestly the process is described before they try. So here is the whole thing, including the parts that are inconvenient to write down.

Do verification on a quiet Tuesday

KYC is needed once, before the first payout — not before your first deposit. The predictable consequence is that most people begin it at the exact moment they have winnings waiting, then experience an ordinary document check as a payout being withheld.

Upload a photo ID and a bank passbook page in your first week, while nothing is pending and you are not in a hurry. Your first withdrawal then behaves the way every subsequent one will, and the difference is a few minutes instead of a day or two.

Where the name check actually bites

Payouts only go to a bank account whose name matches the account holder. That is the mechanism that makes a stolen login worthless, and it is also why a small discrepancy — an initial instead of a full name, a surname in a different position — stops a transfer that would otherwise take ten minutes.

If your details are wrong, the thing to correct is your FairPlay registration rather than your bank. Support can update it with suitable proof, and it is far quicker to sort out before you have a balance waiting than after.

Bonus money is not your money yet

A bonus carries a turnover requirement, and until it is met neither the bonus nor winnings produced by it can leave. Money you deposited yourself is never locked by this, so a partial withdrawal of your unrestricted balance is usually available even mid-requirement.

This is standard across the industry and it is published on each offer, but it remains the second most common reason a withdrawal does not behave as expected. Check the outstanding figure in your account before assuming something has gone wrong.

Tax, without a number that will be out of date

Indian law requires tax to be deducted at source on net winnings from online gaming, and the point most players miss is in the word net. Deduction is computed across your activity, with deposits taken into account, rather than applied to each winning bet as it settles. A player who wins ₹50,000 and has deposited ₹40,000 is in a very different position from one who wins the same amount from nothing.

The rates, thresholds and exact computation sit in the Income Tax Act and are amended by each year's Finance Act, which is precisely why no figure appears on this page — anything printed here would eventually be wrong and people would rely on it. FairPlay applies whatever rules are in force and records any deduction in your transaction history. For your own circumstances, a qualified tax professional is the right source, not a betting site.

Withdrawing as a habit rather than an event

One practical suggestion, offered without any commercial interest in you following it: take money out regularly rather than letting a balance build. A wallet that only ever grows is a wallet that only ever gets staked.

Withdrawing a fixed share of winnings each week turns an abstract number on a screen into money in your bank, which is a materially different thing psychologically. If you also want a ceiling on the other direction, deposit and loss limits are in your account settings — responsible gaming sets out how each works, and support can apply them for you. Withdrawals are available to verified account holders aged 18 and over.

Read all FAQs
How long does a FairPlay withdrawal take?

From a verified account, usually under ten minutes to a UPI-linked bank account, and requests are processed around the clock including weekends and public holidays. IMPS is typically within half an hour. NEFT and RTGS run in batches during banking hours, so a late-night request on either waits for the next batch.

Why do I have to complete KYC before withdrawing?

It confirms that you are the account holder and that the receiving bank account belongs to you. That single check is what prevents somebody who obtains your login from sending your balance to their own account. It is required once, before the first payout, and never again — which is why doing it early rather than at the moment you want money out makes such a difference.

What is the minimum withdrawal?

₹500, with no platform fee deducted. Daily limits apply and are shown in your account. If you need to move more than the daily cap in one go, either split the request across days or contact support to have the limit reviewed for your account.

My withdrawal is taking longer than expected. Why?

In order of how often it happens: verification not yet complete, a mismatch between your registered name and your bank account name, an outstanding bonus wagering requirement, or bank details entered incorrectly. Bank downtime and daily caps account for most of the rest. Your transaction history shows the current status, and support can tell you which of these applies.

Can I withdraw bonus money?

Not until the wagering requirement attached to it has been met. Bonus funds and any winnings derived from them stay restricted until then, while money you deposited yourself and winnings from unrestricted play can be withdrawn at any time. Your account shows exactly how much turnover is still outstanding.

Is tax deducted from my winnings?

Indian law requires tax to be deducted at source on net winnings from online gaming. The important thing most players get wrong is that it applies to net winnings computed across your activity — your deposits are taken into account — rather than to each individual winning bet. Rates, thresholds and the exact computation are set by the Income Tax Act as amended by each year's Finance Act, so they change. FairPlay applies the rules in force at the time and shows any deduction in your transaction history. For your own position, speak to a qualified tax professional.

Can I withdraw to a different bank account?

Only to an account in your own name that has been verified. You can change the registered account, but it requires fresh proof that the new account belongs to you. Payouts to a third party's account are not possible under any circumstances, and that restriction is there to protect your balance rather than to inconvenience you.

What happens if I entered the wrong bank details?

The transfer fails at the bank end and the money returns to your FairPlay wallet, typically within two to three working days. It is not lost. Correct the details in your account and request the withdrawal again — and check the IFSC as carefully as the account number, since a valid-looking IFSC for the wrong branch is a common cause.
